{"id":1881,"date":"2018-02-12T12:35:29","date_gmt":"2018-02-12T12:35:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buildersprofile.co.uk\/website\/?page_id=1881"},"modified":"2022-07-29T10:35:15","modified_gmt":"2022-07-29T09:35:15","slug":"documents","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.buildersprofile.co.uk\/website\/help\/documents\/","title":{"rendered":"Documents Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Documents Overview<\/h1>\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n<p>Documentary evidence, accreditation certificates and policy information can be uploaded and managed from your account then displayed throughout the Profile.<\/p>\n<p>For a document to be uploaded, it should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be less than 8MB in size<\/li>\n<li>Be in a non editable format eg. pdf, tif or, gif<\/li>\n<li>Not be an editable format eg. docx or xlsx<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you need to compress, convert, merge, split, or reorder documents <a href=\"https:\/\/smallpdf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>&#8216;Small PDF&#8217;<\/strong><\/a> is a fantastic tool that will help manage file size and file formats etc before uploading.<\/p>\n<p>Some Document slots require a single document. Other slots accept multiple documents . All Document slots will display a small single or multiple document icon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3951\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buildersprofile.co.uk\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/DocIcons-e1585237940524.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"279\" height=\"94\" \/><br \/>\nUse the &#8216;<strong>Select<\/strong>&#8216; option to switch which documents are being displayed on your Profile.<\/p>\n<p>Use the &#8216;<strong>View<\/strong>&#8216; option to check that the correct document(s) is being displayed on the Document slot.<\/p>\n<h1>How Documents Are Displayed<\/h1>\n<p>Within the Document Library, &#8216;Blue&#8217; items are documents stored in the library and available to display against any Document slot in the current Profile.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Green&#8217; items are stored in the library and selected to display on the relevant Document slot.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3952\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buildersprofile.co.uk\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/DocLibrary-e1585237963575.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"261\" height=\"200\" \/><br \/>\nClicking &#8216;<strong>(Unselect)<\/strong>&#8216; next to a &#8216;Green&#8217; item removes a document from display. Clicking on a &#8216;Blue&#8217; item displays it on the specific Document Slot and will turn to &#8216;Green&#8217; when displayed.<\/p>\n<p>Always use the &#8216;<strong>View<\/strong>&#8216; option to check which Document(s) are being displayed.<\/p>\n<h2>Trouble Shooting Documents<\/h2>\n<p>When uploading documents <strong>named the same<\/strong> as documents existing in the library, they do not overwrite but are added as duplicates.<\/p>\n<p>There is no facility to <strong>delete documents<\/strong> from the Document Library. Main contractors only see the documents displayed within the Document slot.
